Natural Coco Fiber Mat – Sustainable, Versatile & Biodegradable

Coco Fiber Mat is an eco-friendly product crafted from 100% natural coconut coir fiber — a renewable by-product of the coconut industry, sourced primarily from the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam, with the highest concentration in Ben Tre and Tra Vinh provinces, where premium dry coir yarn is abundantly available.

Each mat is manufactured through a controlled process of fiber treatment, compression molding, or weaving. The result is a dense, durable, and breathable sheet that retains all the inherent properties of natural coconut fiber: rough texture, high tensile strength, excellent moisture regulation, and full biodegradability within 2 to 5 years depending on environmental conditions.

Binding Structure

Coco fiber mats are available in two structural types. The first is non-bonded, where fiber is compressed or woven without any adhesive, making it completely chemical-free and ideal for direct contact with soil, plants, or animals. The second is bonded, using latex or resin binder to enhance rigidity, shape retention, and load-bearing capacity — suitable for construction, insulation, and heavy-duty floor applications.

Specifications

Size: Standard sizes include 50×50 cm, 1×1 m, and other dimensions available on request. Custom sizing is accepted for bulk and project-specific orders. Thickness options include 1 cm, 2 cm, 3 cm, and greater thicknesses available upon request. Composition is 100% natural coconut coir fiber, with or without latex or resin binder. The biodegradation time is 2 to 5 years depending on climate and soil conditions. Packaging is done in bales of 10 or 20 sheets per bundle, tied with natural coconut rope.

Applications

Tree base mulching: Placed around the base of trees or plants, the mat retains soil moisture, improves aeration, prevents soil erosion, and suppresses weed growth — reducing the need for chemical herbicides.

Orchid pot and basket lining: The open, porous structure allows excellent airflow and drainage around roots. Widely used as a growing substrate or liner for orchid pots and hanging baskets, supporting healthy root development.

Doormat and entrance mat: The naturally coarse and rigid coir fibers provide highly effective scraping and drying action, removing dirt, mud, and moisture from footwear. A classic and practical choice for home and commercial entrances.

Pet enclosure bedding: Safe, non-toxic, and easy to clean, making it a natural and comfortable bedding option for rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles, and other small animals.

Interior and rustic decoration: The warm, earthy appearance of natural coir adds a natural, organic aesthetic to interior spaces, terrariums, wall panels, and craft applications.

Sound and thermal insulation: Used in construction panels, floor underlays, and mattress cores, the fiber's natural resilience and density provide measurable sound dampening and thermal buffering properties.
