Not all frozen yam serves the same purpose. Understanding the difference between varieties helps manufacturers select the right ingredient for the right application — and the right price point for their margins.

Mộng Linh White Yam is the workhorse of the range. Pure white flesh, neutral flavour, high cultivation volume, and a competitive price make it the default choice for soup bases, ready meals, and large-scale food processing. If your operation demands volume consistency above all else, this is your variety.

Native Miền Nam White Yam is the premium alternative. Its marbled cream flesh and naturally sweeter taste set it apart on the shelf and on the plate. Grown in smaller quantities, it suits manufacturers targeting specialty retail, premium food service, or markets where eating quality is a commercial differentiator.

Long Tuber Purple Yam (Main Vine) is our flagship purple variety. Harvested from primary vines, these larger tubers carry deep violet pigment and high anthocyanin content — properties that are increasingly valuable in functional food, health beverage, and clean-label product development. Buyers in this segment know what they are paying for, and this variety delivers.

Round Tuber Purple Yam (Sub-Vine) brings purple yam within reach for processing and blending applications. Smaller and more economical than the long tuber grade, it performs well in purée lines, mixed-ingredient products, and any application where colour contribution matters more than whole-tuber presentation.

Built for B2B: Specifications That Work at Scale

Every variety is available in four cut forms — whole, round-sliced, chunk, and purée — processed and packed to your specification.

Standard export packaging is 1 kg per bag, 10 bags per carton. Container loads run approximately 9 metric tons per 20ft reefer and 21 metric tons per 40ft reefer, palletless. Storage at -18°C with an 18–24 month shelf life.

Harvest season runs November through July, with peak volume and best pricing available March through May. For buyers planning procurement outside peak season, we advise factoring in cold-storage availability from September and October, which carries a moderate price premium.
